Working Families Funding

Using 30 Hours of Working Families Funding from September 2024

At Fig Tree Day Nursery, we are pleased to offer eligible working families

the government entitlement of 30 hours per week for 38 week a year.

Weallocate these hours across 3 full days a week, spread over the 51 weeks a year that we are open.

Before Applying Funding:

Our standard day rate is £55 a day and that covers from 7:30am - 6:00pm. So, for 3 days it is £165 a week (£701.25 a month) all year apart from Christmas week.

After Applying 30 Hours Funding:

For the same 3 days and applying the funded hours, it is just £47.95 a week plus £5 a day for meals which are not included in the funding - a total of £62.95 a week (£267.54 a month). Again this covers 51 weeks a year.

  • Additional days can then be purchased for our flat day rate of £55 a day.

  • Early sessions can also be booked from 7:00 am for £7.50 or from 6:30 am for £15.00. If you require this service, please enquire directly as these are allocated dependent on availability.

In addition to the 30 hours for working families, you may also be eligible for tax-free childcare. This is where the government tops up £2 for every £8 you pay into your tax free childcare account and then you use that account to send the childcare fees to us. This can further reduce your childcare costs and is well worth applying for; most of our working parents use this method alongside Working Families Funding.

To apply for both the 30 hours for working families and tax-free childcare, you can follow the links on this website: www.childcarechoices.gov.uk.
